There's a traditional way of sewing curtains that will last forever but there's a newer, easier method of sewing lightweight curtains. Here are instructions for making your own no sew curtains.

There are many modern bonding materials available and Bondaweb is one of the most well known and recognized. All you need is a hot iron and damp cloth. No more messing with needles and thread. And it's the perfect way to sew those light weight curtains.

Here's how to do it:

1. Decide what type of rod or wire you are going to use.

2. Measure the wire or the rod so you know how wide your curtains need to be.

3. Next measure the length you are going to need. Remember to leave enough material for your fold up for a hem. 4 inches should be more than adequate.

4. To figure out how much fabric you will need first measure the length and width and then multiply the two.

5. You will need to join fabric together so lay it on a flat surface and apply a strip of the bond on the salvage edge.

6. Turn over your inch seam and bond.

7. Place the second length on the first and make sure it is facing right side up.

8. Next you need to press with the hot iron by first placing the damp cloth on the fabric.

9. Join all pieces using the same process. Repeat until completed.

10. Place the bonding strip the length of the curtain.
