A curtain has a pocket hem and then a rod that goes through it to give fullness. Curtains normally get their fullness form a ruffled header. Curtains will soften the look of your window, control the amount of light your room gets, and help insulate it too. But they also add character and style to the room so choosing the right type is important.
1. Bishop Sleeves
This is a very elegant and classy window treatment that has a blousing effect because of the extra length. The look is simple to achieve. You use tieback to pull the curtains tight against the window frame and then you arrange the poufs. You can have as many or as few poufs as you like.
2. Caf Curtains
These are made with fabric that is on two rods. One rod at the top and one at the bottom. Because they attach at the top and bottom they are a great choice for that little extra privacy. And they also do a great job of decorating up a room.
3. Cottage Curtains
These combine caf with cottage just by adding a tieback curtain overtop. So you have the top and bottom panels and then two outside panels which are tied back.
4. Grommet Curtains
This style of curtain has eyelets sewn into the fabric along the top. They can be threaded through the rod using the grommets for a very contemporary look.
